Audience

If you have an interest in learning more about funding sources from the Federal Government, the nonprofit sector or other funding agencies and general information, we suggest you review this site. Our site will direct you to targeted information that will assist your career development in the substance abuse field. This site is especially designed to provide resources for new investigators who are members of a designated minority group.

New Investigators:

If you have not previously served as a principal investigator on a Public Health Service-supported research project, been funded for a small grant (R03), Academic Research Enhancement Award (R15), exploratory or developmental grant (R21), or research career awards such as K01, K08, K22, and K23, you would be eligible to apply for a research proposal as a new investigator.

Investigators—Members of a Minority Group:

If you are an African American, Hispanic American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Pacific Islander, an individual with a disability, or in another underrepresented minority group, as designated by the NIH, this site is for you.
